Building my YJ and the 10" rear is locked but not the front D44.  I am sure having it locked is the better option but wondering how much I will gain, building for doing like the Rubicon Trail type stuff.

To me its more important to have lockers in front so if you already have the rear I would highly suggest the front when you are climbing rocks a world of difference

By reason, the front.  More weight for traction, and directional grip.  But also makes it harder to steer.  Plus it is easier to pull weight than push it, traction wise

If you lock the front, what way are you planning on doing so? Also how is the rear locked?

Is this a trail only rig or are you going to drive it on the road?
